Michelle Roth’s Australian born,  stands with three generations of family bridal traditions.  Immersed in bridal design, her parents operate  one Australia’s largest bridal houses Henri Josef. Her  childhood  vacations were often spent at her parent's atelier,  it was all about patterns, fabric, sketching and draping.

From the age of 6 Roth flew yearly with her parents on annual fabric and  a accessories buying trips to Paris, Rome, London, and New York. Design her lifestyle.

In 1978 Roth graduated with honors in political science at The University of Sydney. In 1979, she joined Henri Josef as junior designer alongside her mother, Aneta Weinreich. Her father Joseph Weinreich trained her in the reality of running a business. In 1986 she was offered a position at the Australian Consulate. Roth leapt at the opportunity, to absorb and grow, joining an international community that felt like home.

After 5 years of diplomatic service she decided to return to her first love, design and remain with a new love, New York City. A huge impact shaping the importance she places on her profession is attributed to her parents who are Holocaust survivors. Wedding gowns are all about  new chapters, dreams and aspirations. Roth designs with vigor!

Roth stands with three generations of family bridal traditions.Her paternal great grandmother, from whom she is named, ran a bridal charity organization in Poland in the 1900’s Her maternal grandfather Samuel Baral built a thriving furrier import/export business in Krakow, Poland during the 1920's. Her maternal grandmother, Franka Baral, ran her own major textile company in Australia after the war.

In 1992, Roth unofficially started from her own small Manhattan apartment. Dresses took most of the available space! In 1993, she launched in the Bridal Building as Michelle of Australia. In 1996 catapulted by the momentum of success Roth opened her legendary design studio on 57th street.  In 1997 her brother Henry joined her to spearhead operations.

Featured on the most coveted and respected national shows across the country and around the world including Martha Stewart Living, The Oprah Winfrey Show, Entertainment Tonight, The View and continual editorial features in Vogue, In Style, Town and Country, Elle and Glamour to mention a few. She has worked with celebrities including Aretha Franklin, Barbara Walters, Shaunie O’Neal Shaquille O’Neal’s wife, and many more.
